After reading some very positive report on the performance of Fostex FE108-Sol full range speakers in Hobby HiFi magazine I knew I have to give them a try.
Desert Wall Audio
If you are in a desert and having a band performing in front of a wall is better than having a band performing in a desert. Space without boundaries is evil. You have no reflected sound waves and everything is dissipated in a space, an open space. Reflections are important, especially the first reflections.
Norddeutsche HiFi-Tage 2017
Norddeutsche HiFi-Tage is Germany’s largest HiFi show after Munich High End. It is hosted in Holiday Inn Hotel in Hamburg from 4 to 5 of February. I have never visited such a show before and I was pretty curious to check how some very expensive systems are going to perform and what is possible in terms of audio reproduction.
Hifi-Tuning Ultimate Solidcore power cable and fuse
I have never considered spending money on expensive mains power conditioner or filter, but I did consider using a separate power cord with proper diameter and shielding to connect the audio system with the main fuse box.

Audio reproduction in non-symmetrical situations
The importance of symmetry in terms of equal distance of the loudspeakers from the side walls derives from the fact that what one hear is not just the direct sound of the speakers but also the reflections from the room walls. Especially important are the first wave reflections for they contribute to the spatial quality of the stereo image and its tonal richness.
